Digital Radiography (D-RT)
There is also a method known as digital radiography (D-RT) for radiation penetration testing, where the amount of radiation is extracted as digitized electric signals and turned into an image. Computed radiography (CR) is a representative example. CR is a system where photography takes place using an X-ray detection device called an imaging plate (IP) instead of film. A scanning device is able to extract the X-ray image data recorded on the IP, allowing the result of the shooting to be outputted as a digital image.
